4×2: What is it?
For trucks and SUVs with rear-wheel drive, the term 4x2 refers to the vehicle's two-wheel drive system. Rear-wheel drive systems distribute engine rotational force from the gearbox to a driveshaft that links to the rear wheels and differential. The car starts moving when the back wheels provide tractive force to the pavement.
