Cenforce 100 mg, which contains Sildenafil Citrate (the same active ingredient found in Viagra), can cause blurred vision as a potential side effect. This occurs due to the way sildenafil works in the body.
Here's why blurred vision might happen: Effect on Blood Flow: CENFORCE 100 works by increasing blood flow to certain areas of the body, including the penis, to help with erectile dysfunction. However, this increase in blood flow can also affect other areas, including the eyes, leading to temporary visual disturbances.
PDE5 Inhibition: Sildenafil inhibits the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), which plays a role in the dilation of blood vessels. However, PDE5 is also present in the eyes, particularly in the retina, and inhibiting it can cause visual side effects, including blurred vision, sensitivity to light, or a blue or green tinge to vision.
Other Visual Side Effects: Blue-Tinged Vision: Some users report seeing a blue or green tint in their vision, a condition known as cyanopsia.
Light Sensitivity: Sensitivity to bright light may also occur.
When to Seek Medical Attention: While these visual disturbances are typically mild and temporary, if the blurred vision persists or if you experience any other vision problems, it’s important to consult a healthcare provider. In rare cases, Sildenafil can cause more serious eye conditions, such as non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), which can lead to permanent vision loss.
If you experience any unusual visual symptoms, especially if they are severe or don't resolve after a short period, contact your doctor for advice.
