The tiny region-watched hotplate is definitely not a readily available commercial instrument. Typically, commitments are measured using a variety of support points with commercially available monitored hotplate and intensity transition instruments. The location of the estimating region relative to the point of support cluster generally determines the deliberate intensity change through a VIG example when using such tools.
The estimation of the warm protection properties of VIG examples involving large region instruments in regions far from the edges is the topic of this first of two papers.
