Carisoprodol is used to treat short-term problems such muscle soreness and discomfort. Physical therapy, rest, and other treatments are usually combined with it. It works by promoting muscular relaxation. Take this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor. Never increase the dosage, frequency, or duration of usage of this drug; always follow the directions on the label. Your illness won't improve any faster, and your likelihood of suffering side effects will increase. The dosage will be based on your medical condition and how you respond to treatment. This medication should only be taken for a short time—three weeks or less—except as directed by your doctor. Symptoms of withdrawal may appear if you stop taking this medication suddenly (such as stomach cramps, trouble sleeping, headache, nausea). To help avoid withdrawal, your doctor may gradually lower your dosage. Withdrawal is more likely to happen if you have used carisoprodol often or in high dosages. Immediately inform your doctor or pharmacist if you encounter withdrawal symptoms.- Pillspalace
