Cenforce 120 is a medication primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). Its active ingredient is sildenafil citrate, which is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. Cenforce 120mg works by increasing blood flow to the penis, helping achieve and maintain an erection. Regarding neurotransmitter levels, sildenafil does not directly affect neurotransmitter levels in the brain. Its primary action is localized to the vascular system of the penis, where it helps enhance the effects of nitric oxide (NO). Nitric oxide is a neurotransmitter that plays a role in the relaxation of smooth muscle and increased blood flow. While sildenafil’s primary mechanism is through its effects on nitric oxide and cyclic GMP (cGMP) in the vascular system, it does not have a significant impact on neurotransmitters in the central nervous system. Its effects are more localized and related to the vascular response rather than widespread changes in neurotransmitter levels in the brain.
